It was almost a year and a half ago when I last took pictures of Neha.  She is such a sweet little girl, and so photogenic, wouldn’t you say? : )

I had the privilege of taking some photos of two gorgeous ladies last week – my friend Megha and her 5-month old daughter, Neha.  I’ve known Megha since high school, and we’ve reconnected recently…I’m so glad we have!  We had a really nice afternoon taking photos and discussing photography and other fun things.  Megha wore a sari for most of the photos and put Neha in a special outfit…they looked so beautiful!  Megha, thank you so much…enjoy!

As often happens, it’s the photos you don’t plan for…this is one of my favorites, Neha after waking up from her nap.

My nephew, Brady, turns one this month, so it worked out perfectly that my sister wanted some photos of him and I was really wanting to take some photos of him and their family : )  Brady is at that point where he’s started walking and all of a sudden, the world is a much more exciting place!  He is on the move constantly, and yesterday was no exception.  I didn’t get quite as many of him as I would have liked…looks like I need some good practice following little movers as they explore.  However, he loves to laugh and smile, and when that gets captured, it lights up the whole photo…he’s so funny!

So, I’m still working on their photos, and these are some of my favorites so far.  The editing part is a little new for me…any constructive criticism out there on these?

This first one of Cathy I took while checking the light, and I love it.  She’s so pretty : )

Thanks Cathy, Mike and Brady!

I Heart Faces (iheartfaces.blogspot.com) is a GREAT, fun photography blog with weekly photo contests (and awesome photography from many amazing photograpers).  This week is their first birthday, and in honor of that, the challenge this week is “Best Face Photo” from December 2009 or January 2010.  How fun!!

So my entry is (hands-down) this photo of my grandma from December.  She and some other family members came over to Kings Mountain to visit, and we went to eat lunch at the coffee shop downtown.  The light is so wonderful in there near the front windows!  My grandma is so beautiful, sweet and classy, and to me, this photo captures that.  Love you, Grandma!

We play Uno quite a bit at our house.  This is B’s “I gave you a draw 4 card because I didn’t have anything else to play…but it’s all part of the strategy” look. : )

This is my niece, Mia.  She’s a bit older now, but this photo just makes me smile : )

Happy weekend!

This is my cousin Liam.  His mom, Jana, and I are a little photo crazy when we get together…thanks Jana : )  Here are a few from today…I love how he always holds his hands up to his mouth in a tight little ball.  He’s so sweet.

Today was a big deal for me. Bev was so kind as to let me do my first official (and wonderfully casual) photo shoot with her and her sweet boys. It was so cold outside that inside was much cozier, and the light just happened to be pretty incredible. It was a wonderful afternoon of letting the boys play, photographing her beautiful family and chatting over coffee while the younger boys slept.

I could probably choose at least a dozen photos to post here, but I’m keeping to five of my favorites : )

Thanks Bev, Jack and Will : )
